WHO CAN PERFORM ACUPUNCTURE?

A. Acupuncturists who maintain a valid license issued by the Acupuncture Board and physicians licensed by the Medical Board of California. A dentist or podiatrist licensed in California may also practice acupuncture, only within the scope of their respective licenses and if they have completed the necessary training required by their respective licensing board.  Acupuncture Board of California

谁可以提供针灸治疗？

针灸师必须持有（加州）针灸委员会的有效执照，或者是（加州）医疗委员会所颁发的医生执照。 加州认可的牙医或者足疗师也可以进行针灸治疗，但是仅限于在他们相关的专业范围内，而且必须完成由他们的执照颁发组织提供的相关培训。

DO YOU USE CLEAN NEEDLES?

Yes. All our needles are are required by law to be disposable one-time-use sterilized needles. They were produced for medical treatment, sealed and storaged according to the same standards. When we use the needles, we break the seal for each individually packed needle to be used on one patient for one time only. Then the used needle are disposed in a bio-hazard container. 

请问你们的针是干净的吗？

我们所用的针，全部是一次性消毒的针灸针。由符合资格的厂家按照相关的法律和标准生产，密封和保存。当我们使用这些针的时候，我们会把每个单独包装的针的封条撕破。每个针都只用一次。然后这些针会被作为污染过的医疗垃圾，按照相关法规处理。

I know Acupuncture involves needles. Does it hurt?

Generally speaking, Acupuncture should not be painful. You may feel a dull ache, perhaps a feeling of electricity or tingling, a sensation of heat or cold, or it may just feel strange. It also depends on what kind of needles are being inserted. For certain needles, you will barely feel anything. And it also depends on individual sensitivity.

请问针灸疼吗？

通常情况下，针灸不会疼痛。你可以会觉到有些隐痛，对有些人可能会有刺痛或者轻微电到的感觉，或者,或者有些热或冷，或者是其他的感觉。这取决于使用什么样的针进行治疗。有些无痛针，你可能感觉不到任何不舒服的感觉。感觉因人而异。

Will Acupuncture interfere with my medication?

The short answer is no. A word of caution though, you may want to consult your physician for extreme cases.
